This year’s Global Robotics Games is inspired by United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) #2: Zero Hunger, a call to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture globally. The goal emphasizes building sustainable food systems and ensuring everyone has consistent access to healthy meals.
Hunger remains a pressing global challenge, with nearly 733 million people facing hunger and over two billion lacking reliable access to nutritious food due to limited arable land, climate change, and growing populations. However, advancements in technology and robotics can help bridge these gaps, enabling communities to overcome food scarcity and thrive.
Under the theme "Mission Meals," our competition encourages participants to apply robotics and engineering skills to tackle critical issues related to food production, supply, and delivery. Each challenge represents a real-world scenario where robots can make a meaningful difference—from growing food efficiently to safely delivering nutrition to the people who need it most.
